Sidi ifni: Four officers from the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN) died in a bus accident involving members of the mobile riot police brigade from the city of Sidi Ifni, who were traveling to Agadir for a security mission at a soccer competition.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, preliminary information indicates that the bus, which was carrying 44 officers, crashed on Saturday morning about 24 kilometers from Sidi Ifni. The incident resulted in four deaths and 26 injuries, two of which are serious, as per an initial report from the DGSN.
The Director General of National Security has instructed the Agadir Police Prefecture and the DGSN medical and social services to monitor the injured officers’ health at the hospital and provide them with any necessary assistance. Additionally, condolences and necessary support will be offered to the families of the deceased victims of this accident.
The Director General also directed the Human Resources Department to ensure that the victims receive
the appropriate administrative benefits, in compliance with the DGSN’s civil service regulations.
