Paris: France’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noël Barrot praised, on Monday in Paris, France’s ‘exemplary partnership’ of North-South cooperation with Morocco. Speaking at the closing ceremony of the first day of the Paris Peace Forum, attended by HM the King’s ambassador to France, Samira Sitail, as well as political, business, and civil society leaders from around the world, the French minister stressed that with Morocco ‘we are now looking towards a future that we have decided to build and defend together.’
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Barrot expressed the commitment to launching a renovated partnership for the years to come, emphasizing the intention to strengthen this collaboration. He also highlighted the need for a new cooperation approach with Africa, citing a long shared history and common challenges with the continent.
