Rabat: The Government Council convened on Thursday to approve draft decree no. 2.25.1114, which amends the earlier decree no. 2-02-642 regarding the establishment of export free zones within the Tanger-Mediterranean special development zone.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the draft decree was presented by the Minister of Equipment and Water, on behalf of the Minister of Industry and Trade. The primary goal of the amendment is to revise the decree concerning the creation of the Ksar El Majaz industrial acceleration zone. This revision is intended to address the requirements of investors and enhance Morocco’s standing in the global maritime trade sector, as stated by Mustapha Baitas, the Minister Delegate for Relations with Parliament and Government Spokesperson, during a press briefing post the Council meeting.
