Government Council to Convene on Thursday


Rabat: A government council, chaired by Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch, is set to convene on Thursday, according to a press release from his office.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, at the start of its proceedings, the Council will examine a draft decree-law supplementing the law on the reform of the Regional Investment Centers (CRI) and the creation of the Unified Regional Investment Commissions, the press release points out.



The Council will then examine two draft decrees, the first of which implements the law governing the organization of donations’ collection from the public and aid distribution for charitable purposes, while the second concerns the creation of the Benguerir industrial acceleration zone.



Subsequently, the Council will examine the status of the Arab Center for Social Policy and Poverty Reduction in the Arab Countries, adopted in Cairo on September 9, 2021, and signed by Morocco on March 13, 2024, as well as the draft law approving these statutes.



The Council will complete its proceedings by considering proposals for appointment to high positions, in accordance with the provisions of Article 92 of the Constitution.
