Rabat: The Government Council is scheduled to convene this Thursday, where it will begin by examining two critical bills. The first bill focuses on the reorganization of the National Press Council (CNP), and the second bill seeks to amend and supplement the existing law on the status of professional journalists, as noted in a press release from the Head of Government’s Office.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the Council will also review a draft decree concerning the establishment of the maximum amount for micro-credits and the cap on the sums that can be lent by micro-credit establishments. Additionally, the meeting will address a hosting agreement signed on January 16, 2025, between Morocco and the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD). This agreement aims to establish the Agency’s national office within the Kingdom, along with a bill approving the aforementioned agreement.
The meeting will conclude with a review of proposals for senior government appointments, in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.
