Addis ababa: The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, arrived in Addis Ababa on Friday afternoon, to represent His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the 39th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU).

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, upon his arrival at Bole International Airport, Akhannouch was welcomed by Ethiopian Minister of Peace, Mohamed Edris, and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Berhanu Tsegaye. The Head of Government was also greeted by the Ambassador, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the AU and UNECA, Mohamed Arrouchi, and other dignitaries.

The 39th Summit of AU Heads of State and Government is being held on February 14 and 15 under the theme: “Assuring Sustainable Water Availability and Safe Sanitation Systems to Achieve the Goals of Agenda 2063.”
