Rabat: A heatwave and hot weather conditions are expected from Monday through Thursday in several provinces across the Kingdom, the Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) announced in an orange-level weather alert bulletin.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, a heatwave with temperatures ranging between 44°C and 47°C is expected from Monday to Wednesday in the provinces of Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, Tata, and Zagora.

During the same period, temperatures of between 35°C and 40°C are forecast in the provinces of Essaouira, Driouch, Nador, and Berkane.

The same weather conditions are also expected from Tuesday to Thursday, with temperatures ranging between 40°C and 44°C, in the provinces of Sidi Kacem, Khouribga, Settat, El Kalaa des Sraghna, Marrakech, Rehamna, Jerada, Taourirt, Khemisset, Youssoufia, Beni Mellal, Fquih Ben Salah, Khenifra, Boulemane, Guercif, Oujda-Angad, Taounate, Taza, Ouezzane, Taroudant, and Tinghir.
