Rabat – A severe heatwave is expected to sweep across several provinces of the Kingdom from Tuesday to Friday, with temperatures forecast to range between 42 and 47 °C (107.6 and 116.6 °F). This announcement comes from the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) in an “orange” level alert bulletin.
The DGM reports that from Tuesday to Friday, temperatures will range from 42 to 46 °C (107.6 to 114.8 °F) in the provinces of Beni Mellal, Fquih Bensaleh, Guercif, Taounate, Taza, Settat, and Khouribga.
Furthermore, from Wednesday to Friday, temperatures are expected to rise even higher, ranging between 43 and 47 °C (109.4 and 116.6 °F) in the provinces of Marrakech, Rehamna, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Aousserd, Oued Ed-Dahab, Boujdour, Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, Tata, and Taroudant.
