Rabat: Heavy rain, thundershowers with a risk of hail, and strong gusts of wind are forecast for Monday and Tuesday in several provinces of the Kingdom, according to the Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM).
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, heavy rain and thunderstorms with a risk of hail ranging from 40 to 60 mm are expected from Monday at 11:00 a.m. to Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. in the provinces of Tangier-Assilah, M’Diq-Fnideq, Fahs-Anjra, Chefchaouen, Tetouan, Larache, and Ouezzane. This warning was issued in an orange alert bulletin by the DGM.
Additionally, the same weather phenomenon with rainfall between 25 and 30 mm is anticipated for Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. in the provinces of Kenitra, Taounate, Sidi Kacem, Taza, and Al Hoceima.
Strong gusts of wind, reaching speeds of 75 to 80 km/h, are also forecast for Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Taza, Guercif, Taourirt, Boulemane, Figuig, and Midelt.
