Manama: Philippe Amarante, managing partner of Henley and Partners in Dubai, described Gateway Gulf 2024, which opened today at the Four Seasons Hotel, as an impactful forum advancing discussions on regional and international investment opportunities.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Amarante commended the lineup of regional industry leaders involved in the forum, emphasising that the discussions were a significant draw for foreign direct investment (FDI) across diverse sectors. “I have enjoyed listening to regional leaders who are creating a vibrant debate on the region’s investment climate,” he told the agency. “This forum provides a critical platform for attracting FDI across a broad spectrum.”
On the upcoming free trade agreement (FTA) between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and UK partners, anticipated by year’s end, Amarante highlighted its potential to strengthen trade and investment links. “The perception of GCC countries as competitors is evolving,” he explained. “There is a shared vision of
collective growth, and GCC countries are increasingly complementing each other, which is crucial for economic integration.”
