His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, has directed to provide a special plane to transport Bahraini spectators to support the Manama Basketball Club in the final of the inaugural FIBA West Asia Super League (WASL).
The Manama Club will take on Kuwait Club during WASL final, which will be held tonight in Dubai.
HH Shaikh Khalid’s directives aim to support the Manama Club for their historic achievement by reaching the inaugural FIBA West Asia Super League including the best eight Asian clubs.
The Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) and the Manama Club will coordinate the registration of fans willing to attend the final.
BBA President, Waleed Al-Alawi, and Manama Club President, Yousif Zaman, expressed thanks and gratitude to HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad for his kind directives, reflecting HH’s unlimited support for Bahraini sports, in general, and national clubs, in particular.
