Higher Institute of Security Sciences Inaugurated in Ifrane

Ifrane: The inauguration ceremony of the Higher Institute of Security Sciences in Ifrane was attended by foreign and national partners in the field of academic and police training. Notable attendees included Abdulmajeed bin Abdullah Albanyan, President of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences in Saudi Arabia, and General Rashid Mohamed Bourshid, Director of the Saif bin Zayed Academy of Security and Policing Sciences, under the General Command of the Abu Dhabi Police. Several presidents of national universities and academic institutes were also present at the event.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the Higher Institute of Security Sciences is part of the DGSN’s vision to enhance police training programs and adapt them to new security challenges. The institute aims to establish sustainable partnerships with national and international training establishments.

The institute will strengthen Morocco’s security training system, currently provided by the Royal Police Institute in Kenitra and various regional police schools. It will conduct training sessions, scientific workshops, and partnership programs to train security executives and enhance the capabilities of police officers.

The main goal of the institute is to equip security executives with a proactive vision and high technical competence to address rapid global changes in security, artificial intelligence, digitization, and modern technologies. It also promotes a culture of respect for human rights and the preservation of individual freedoms.

The institute’s training programs integrate scientific knowledge with practical field experience. New sciences and technologies are utilized to train security officers with analytical skills and decision-making abilities for complex situations.

A partnership agreement has been established between the Higher Institute and the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences to provide training for security executives at the Arab level. This collaboration aims to develop national and regional policies in surveillance, crime prevention, and scientific research.

The institute, inaugurated in Ifrane, features training facilities, a translation and language center, sports facilities, accommodation, and simulation rooms for police interventions, ensuring an integrated training environment.
