His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s Strategic Focus on African Security and Stability Highlighted at AU Summit


Luanda: His Majesty King Mohammed VI has prioritized security and stability as key strategic objectives for the African continent, according to Aziz Akhannouch, the Head of Government, who represented the King at the African Union’s extraordinary session dedicated to conflict prevention and resolution in Africa.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Akhannouch expressed his honor at representing His Majesty at the summit, which focused on conflict resolution. He highlighted the Sovereign’s commitment to making peace and stability a cornerstone of Morocco’s strategy for Africa. Akhannouch emphasized Morocco’s preventive and sustainable approach to conflict resolution, which seeks to address economic and social issues alongside peace and stability challenges.



He further noted that under King Mohammed VI’s leadership, Morocco is committed to fostering South-South cooperation through a participatory and partnership-oriented framework among African nations.



Akhannouch was joined at the Summit by Nasser Bourita, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Mohamed Arrouchi, the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the African Union and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, and Saadia Alaoui, Morocco’s Ambassador to Angola.
