HM King Mohammed VI Expresses Condolences to Family of Hassan Akesbi.


Rabat: His Majesty King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolences and compassion to the members of the family of the late Hassan Akesbi, a former player of the Moroccan national soccer team. In this message, His Majesty expressed his deep sorrow upon learning of Akesbi’s death and prayed for his eternal peace.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the King conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the family, relatives, friends, and fans of the deceased, as well as the broader national sporting community. He acknowledged Akesbi as a pioneering figure in Moroccan soccer, whose contributions since the 1950s left a lasting impact on both national and international levels. Akesbi’s remarkable performance secured him a distinguished position among the best strikers globally.

His Majesty shared in the grief of Akesbi’s family, highlighting the late player’s virtues, including his high moral standards, sincere patriotism, and exemplary sportsmanship. These qualities made Akesbi a role model for young Moroccan playe
rs and a symbol of dedication within clubs at home and abroad, particularly in Europe.
