Manama, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received the annual report of the Shura and Representatives Councils for the second session of the sixth legislative term.
His Majesty the King received Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council; Abdulnabi Salman, Representatives Council First Deputy Speaker and the Deputies of the two councils, who submitted the annual report to His Majesty.
His Majesty expressed his thanks to the Shura and Representatives Councils’ Speakers for their efforts in serving the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people. His Majesty the King highlighted that the two councils are key constitutional institutions through which the pillars of political and democratic work are consolidated, and dedicated efforts are unified in the process of development.
His Majesty praised the achievements made during the second session, noting the effective efforts of the legislative authority in supporting comprehensive development plans, in addition to undertaking its supervisory and legisl
ative role and developing laws and legislation that serve the nation and achieve citizens’ aspirations. His Majesty thanked them for their efforts in their legislative work, underscoring the democratic and parliamentary process has achieved great success, driven by concerted efforts.
His Majesty expressed his appreciation for the advanced level of cooperation and coordination between the executive and legislative authorities, and their commitment to unifying national efforts in addressing current issues and formulate future plans that aim to achieve the progress and prosperity that the Kingdom and its people aspire to.
Furthermore, His Majesty commended the dedicated efforts and contributions of the people of Bahrain to the nation’s prosperity. His Majesty also noted their affectionate and welcoming nature sensed by all who live among them, by which they have always been known.
His Majesty affirmed that the Kingdom, based on its belief that peace is the cornerstone of the success of countries and the progr
ess of societies, always seeks to promote peace, stability and prosperity prevail in all of society, and will continue to spread its message among citizens in the Arab, Islamic and international environments.
The Speakers of the Shura Council and the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives expressed their appreciation to His Majesty this King, for the constant support of the progress of the legislative authority, which has led to the achievement of many democratic and parliamentary achievements, that contributed to the development of the Kingdom at all levels.
