‘Horrates’, New Weekly Program on M24

Hosted by journalist Aicha Zaimi Sakhri, the program highlights every week a struggle related to Moroccan women’s rights, their roles, their conditions, and their emancipation. What inequalities should finally be a thing of the past? How to fight against discrimination? How to lift taboos and change mentalities? These are questions to which the program tries to provide answers.

Each week, the program will focus on a specific issue through interviews and deciphering of women and men, young and old, from all walks of life.

In the first edition of Horrates, broadcast Wednesday, the journalist and host of the program has received on the sets of M24 Ouafa Hajji, president of Socialist International Women. She is also a member of the National Bureau of Jossour, Moroccan women’s forum, since 1995. The guest is also coordinator of the collective “Parity Now” which works since 2017 for the real and effective implementation of parity as provided in the Constitution.

The new broadcast has thus expanded the program schedule of the M24 channel, which already includes “Al Machhad Attakafi” (cultural landscape), presented by the journalist and poet Ouidad Benmoussa, “M Auto” hosted by journalist Jalil Bennani and “Aâlam Chahrazad” (the world of Chahrazad) of the host Chahrazad Akroud, SporTime of Morad Moutaouakkil and “Bi kouli hodoue” (in all serenity) presented by journalist Samir Benhatta.

M24 also plans to launch, in the coming weeks, analysis programs to enrich its program schedule, which covers the entire day with news sessions, including debates led by experts, academics, officials, artists and writers, who discuss and comment on the news, and analyze the dimensions and contexts of a news item.

The channel also focuses on the main national and international events and delivers press readings, correspondences and columns, elaborated by its vast network of correspondents present throughout the country and in the main world capitals.

The Moroccan news channel M24, which reflects the singular and modern image of the Moroccan News Agency as a public information pole, aims at presenting a new product in order to recover a part of the Moroccan audience and thus contribute to reinforce the national sovereignty in the field of information.
