The two legislative institutions also expressed their openness to all joint initiatives likely to consolidate institutional relations, raise them to the level of a productive partnership and strengthen coordination and consultation at various regional and international parliamentary gatherings on issues of common interest, said a joint statement issued following talks in Rabat between the Speaker of the House of Advisors, Naama Mayara, and Tomasz Grodzki, Speaker of the Polish Senate.

The two parties also stressed the importance of further strengthening the constructive parliamentary cooperation and giving it a new impetus through joint initiatives and action plans by capitalizing on the exchange of expertise and experience in various areas of parliamentary action.

The wish to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions stems from the quality of bilateral relations in economic, trade and cultural areas. Il also stems from the convergence of views between Rabat and Warsaw on many regional and international issues of common interest, the statement added.

This cooperation is also part of the efforts of both parties to promote and consolidate these relations, given the great potential and opportunities for cooperation and joint investment. It also aims to strengthen solidarity and mutual support in the defense of the supreme interests of the two friendly countries, both at regional and international levels.
