In their efforts to catch the Palestinian who shot and killed an Israeli settler near the West Bank city of Tulkarm on Tuesday, Israeli soldiers this morning raided several Tulkarm area towns and villages, broke into homes causing panic among people, mainly children, and searched and ransacked them, according to local sources. They told WAFA that soldiers raided the towns of Kufr al-Labbad and Anabta, east of Tulkarm, Deir al-Ghussoun, to the north, and Tulkarm refugee camp. Confrontations broke out during the raids with Palestinians and the soldiers fired live bullets, tear gas, and sound bombs at the protesters causing suffocation cases. The soldiers also raided several homes in these areas and ransacked them causing heavy damage to property, said the sources. In the process, soldiers closed checkpoints north of Tulkarm on the road to Jenin, stopped cars, and prevented the movement of people and vehicles, while raiding towns in the area and searching them.
