Rabat: The Moroccan athletes, comprising 50 men and 32 women, are set to compete in 13 sporting disciplines at the Riyadh-2025 edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games. These disciplines include athletics, boxing, duathlon, e-sport, futsal, para-sport, jiu-jitsu, judo, karate, wrestling, muay thai, swimming, and taekwondo, as announced by the CNOM in a recent statement.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the CNOM has finalized the sports registration of the Moroccan delegation with the Riyadh 2025 Organizing Committee, adhering to the participation requirements and lists validated with the Royal Moroccan Federations. In preparation for the event, the CNOM organized a gathering on the 26th of this month, dedicated to Moroccan athletes and their staff. This meeting served to present the Moroccan delegation and discuss the logistical and organizational arrangements to ensure optimal participation, aligning with the guidelines of the Riyadh 2025 Organizing Committee.
The session also provided an opportunit
y for CNOM teams to offer practical information, reinforce Olympic values, and motivate the athletes to represent the Kingdom with pride at the Games. The Moroccan futsal team, part of Group B, will have its first match against Iran on November 4, followed by games against Tajikistan on November 6 and Afghanistan on November 8.
The 2025 edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games will see the participation of 57 countries, with competitions spanning across 21 disciplines.
