Nairobi: Speaking at the launch in Kenya of the program “Together, We Hear Each Other Better”, Essakalli specified that thanks to the enlightened Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, who has placed the human being at the heart of development and made human solidarity one of the pillars of African cooperation, the Lalla Asmaa Foundation has become, under the impetus of HRH Princess Lalla Asmaa, a sanctuary of care and education-but above all, a home where every child regains their voice, confidence, and rightful place in society.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, HRH Princess Lalla Asmaa has been influential in tracing the path of dignity and inclusion for children deprived of hearing for several years. Through the “Nasmaa” program, more than 850 Moroccan families have experienced the joy of hearing their children’s voices and laughter for the first time.
Essakalli highlighted that the efforts of HRH Princess Lalla Asmaa have extended beyond Morocco, reaching children in Dakar, Abidjan, Damascus, Ramallah, and now Nairobi. In these places, more than 320 children have re-entered the audible world, reclaiming their dignity and right to be heard.
He emphasized that this initiative is a “humanitarian and medical journey without borders,” facilitated by the strong friendship between His Majesty King Mohammed VI and Kenyan President William Ruto. This collaboration embodies the noblest expressions of human cooperation and African solidarity.
The program, led by HRH Princess Lalla Asmaa and Kenyan First Lady Rachel Ruto, aims to restore hearing to 70 Kenyan children, showcasing the values of cooperation and shared development. Additionally, 30 more Kenyan children will receive cochlear implants in Morocco during the First Lady’s official visit next February, further strengthening the bonds between the two nations.
This collaboration extends beyond a medical partnership, as Essakalli described the “Together, We Hear Each Other Better” program as a reality and a vision with a powerful humanitarian message.
