Konya: Soumiya Iraoui, representing Morocco, claimed the bronze medal in the Judo -52 kg category at the Islamic Solidarity Games. Iraoui secured her victory in the third-place match by defeating Kazakhstan’s Abeuova Tolganay. Earlier in the competition, she had emerged victorious in her initial bout against Turkey’s Buketnur Karabulut.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Morocco’s presence at the Islamic Solidarity Games is marked by a delegation comprising 76 athletes who are participating across 12 different sports disciplines. This achievement by Iraoui adds to the delegation’s efforts and highlights the competitive spirit displayed by Moroccan athletes on this international stage.
