U17 Women’s World Cup: North Korea Triumphs with 3-0 Win Over Netherlands to Claim Fourth Title


Rabat: North Korea clinched their fourth U17 Women’s World Cup title with a decisive 3-0 victory over the Netherlands. The goals were scored by Kim Won Sim in the 14th minute, Pak Rye Yong in the 18th minute, and Ri Ui Gyong in the 42nd minute. This win reinforces North Korea’s status as the most successful nation in the history of the tournament, having previously won the championship in 2008, 2014, and 2016.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the third-place match saw Mexico emerge victorious over Brazil with a 3-1 win in a penalty shootout after the teams were locked in a 1-1 draw. The awards ceremony for the tournament was attended by prominent figures including Morocco’s Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Mohamed SaSd Berrada, the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaa, and FIFA President Gianni Infantino.



The 2025 Women’s U17 World Cup, hosted in Morocco, featured 24 teams divided into six groups. Matches were held at the Mohammed VI Football Academy and the Olympic Stadium in Rabat.
