Israeli blockade of all entrances leading to Jericho city continues for 7th consecutive day

Israeli occupation forces continued today and for the seventh consecutive day its military blockade on all entrances leading to Jericho city, amid ongoing incursions into the nearby Aqabat Jaber refugee camp.

Local sources said that Israeli forces continues to erect flying checkpoints at the main and secondary entrances of the city and its camps, where they stop Palestinian-registered cars, check the identity cards of passengers, and seize privately-owned and public transport vehicles, causing heavy traffic jams.

Forces reportedly stormed Aqabat Jaber refugee camp, in the southern part of the city, during the dawn hours and raided several homes, provoking clashes with the camp residents. No injuries or arrests were reported.

On April 24, a Palestinian youth, who was identified as Slaiman Ayesh, died of the critical wounds he sustained by the Israeli forces' live fire during an Israeli military incursion into Aqabat jaber camp earlier that day.
