Medical sources early Wednesday announced that a Palestinian youth died after being shot by the occupation forces during a raid into the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilya.

The sources said that Amir Abdel Rahman Majd. 30, died as a result of being shot in the back by the occupation army, shortly after he was transferred to the Darwish Nazzal Governmental Hospital in Qalqilya.

The occupation army opened fire on the slain youth during the storming of Azzun, directly targeting him, when he was working as a public vehicle driver on the Azzun-Qalqilya line.

An eyewitness stated that the occupation soldiers targeted the slain Palestinian and his friend, Mohammad Hassan Suwaidan, by shooting directly at them while they were heading to their friend’s house in Azzun.

The Israeli forces stopped the ambulance that was transferring the injured youth for about an hour before detaining Suwaidan, who he was injured by bullet fragments and whose condition was reported moderate.

Then, the soldiers allowed the ambulance to
transfer the slain youth to the hospital when he was about to die.

The Israeli occupation forces stormed the city of Qalqilya and deployed in various neighborhoods of the city, known among them as ‘Al-Naqar Neighborhood’ and ‘Bir Qaba’a.’
