Israeli forces suppress protest against colonial expansion northwest of Ramallah

RAMALLAH: Israeli occupation forces suppressed a protest against colonial expansion in the village of Umm Safa, northwest of Ramallah, earlier today. Local sources said that the occupation soldiers fired sound bombs and toxic gas at local residents who participated in the protest against the occupation's attempts to seize their lands in the Jabal al-Ras area, north of the village, for the benefit of colonial expansion. It is noteworthy that the occupation has recently escalated its colonial policy and measures in Umm Safa, the latest of which was the bulldozing of more than 200 dunums planted with olive and grape trees in the Jabal al-Ras area.
