A Palestinian man suffered burns in the face this evening after being attacked by an Israeli settler with pepper gas in the town of Huwara, to the south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.
Witnesses told WAFA that an Israeli settler who was driving through the main street of Huwara got out of his car and assaulted a Palestinian passer-by with pepper gas, causing him burns in the face.
Violence by Israeli settlers against Palestinians and their property is commonplace, and is rarely prosecuted by the Israeli occupation authorities.
