In light of the continued Israeli targeting of the vicinity of al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza, the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate warned of a possible massacre of journalists covering the Israeli attacks there. Head of the Freedom Committee at the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate, Mohammed al-Laham, said the syndicate has lost contact with dozens of colleagues who were covering the Israeli aggression in the vicinity of Al-Shifa Hospital. Al-Laham added that several attempts to communicate with journalists who remained until Friday afternoon in the vicinity of the hospital have failed, which warns of a serious danger that threatens their lives and leaves their fate unknown. He called on the International Committee of the Red Cross and international organizations in Gaza to intervene and provide protection to journalists in light of the increasing Israeli targeting and incitement campaigns against them.
