Rabat: Morocco’s Speaker of the House of Representatives Rachid Talbi El Alami represented King Mohammed VI on Tuesday in Lima at the inauguration ceremony of the new President of the Republic of Peru, Keiko Fujimori. During the ceremony, held at the Peruvian Congress in the presence of foreign heads of state, international delegations, members of the diplomatic corps, and prominent dignitaries, Fujimori took the oath of office as President of Peru.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, on this occasion, Talbi El Alami conveyed His Majesty the King’s warmest congratulations to President Fujimori, along with His best wishes for every success in her duties to lead the Peruvian people toward further progress and prosperity. The Speaker of the Lower House was accompanied during the event by Morocco’s Ambassador to Peru, Amin Chaoudri.
HM King Mohammed VI had previously sent a message of congratulations to Fujimori upon her election to her country’s highest office, expressing His warmest wishes for the trust
placed in her by the Peruvian people to fulfill their aspirations for advancement and prosperity.
