Nouakchott: In a statement to MAP, Taghi said that “the autonomy plan constitutes the most realistic and achievable solution” and “will allow the Maghreb region to overcome the deadlock in which it has long been mired.”
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Taghi emphasized that the region needs peace to tackle economic, social, and environmental challenges, highlighting that the ongoing conflict remains the primary barrier to the much-anticipated regional integration.
Taghi further asserted that implementing a solution based on the autonomy initiative will bring an end to the hardships faced by the populations in the Tindouf camps, where living conditions are inadequate for a dignified life.
She concluded by calling for the Maghreb countries to unite their efforts and build a common space that can fulfill the dreams and aspirations of their citizens, who continue to be inspired by the vision of unity.
