Rabat: Minister Ville Tavio is set to lead a trade mission to Morocco, where he will engage in discussions with key Moroccan officials to strengthen bilateral trade and economic relations. In the capital city of Rabat, Minister Tavio will meet with Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Foreign Affairs Nasser Bourita, Minister of Digital Transition and Administration Reform Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development Leila Benali, and Minister of Economy and Finance Faouzi Lekjaa.
According to African Press Organization, the discussions will center around enhancing trade ties between Finland and Morocco. Following the meetings in Rabat, Minister Tavio, along with Finnish business representatives, will proceed to Casablanca. The visit’s agenda includes export promotion events such as the Finland-Morocco Business Forum, organized in collaboration with the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM). Additionally, the Minister will tour the la
rgest container port on Africa’s Atlantic Coast in Tangier, where key Finnish port and logistics companies are operational.
Morocco presents a strategic opportunity for Finnish businesses, serving as a gateway to Africa. The nation is gearing up to co-host the FIFA World Cup 2030 with Spain and Portugal, necessitating several infrastructure developments. Minister Tavio highlights that Finnish companies are well-positioned to offer solutions for these projects.
