MoFA: Israeli colonial expansion requires serious international moves

RAMALLAH: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said that the acceleration of colonial expansion requires serious international moves, especially from relevant international institutions, translating decisions rejecting colonialism into actions, and pressuring towards implementing decisions related to the two-state solution, and embodying the independent Palestinian state on its lands.

The ministry warned in a statement today of the danger of colonial expansion and the Israeli plans to dismember the Palestinian territories and consolidate their isolation and separation from each other in an effort to end the consecration of the sovereignty of the Palestinian state over its lands, especially the measures to isolate the city of Jerusalem from its Palestinian surroundings from all sides, and what Masafer Yatta and the Jordan Valley are exposed to in terms of ongoing ethnic cleansing crimes, expulsion, deportation and suppression of Bedouin communities.

It pointed out that the legitimization of coloni
al outposts is part of the coalition agreements signed by the components of the right-wing and far-right Israeli government.

The ministry pointed out that the occupation government has legalized more than 20 random colonial outposts in addition to other outposts under procedures, which means seizing vast areas of Palestinian land to allocate them not only for colonial construction in new outposts and colonies, but also as a depth for extending and expanding those colonies in the future.

It stressed that it will continue, through its diplomatic missions, to do everything possible to expose the practices of the occupation government and its communication with international institutions and various countries of the world, to protect Palestinian rights and implement international legitimacy resolutions.
