Mohammed V Foundation Initiates ‘Extreme Cold’ Operation Across 28 Provinces


Rabat: Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity has launched a nationwide ‘Extreme Cold’ operation, following high royal instructions. This initiative aims to provide essential support to the most vulnerable populations affected by harsh winter conditions.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the operation involves the deployment of substantial logistical and human resources, coordinated closely with the Ministry of the Interior. It targets 28 provinces impacted by low temperatures, heavy rain, and snowfall, reaching out to 73,000 households. Beneficiaries will receive vital food supplies and blankets to address their immediate needs.

The operation’s logistical framework includes teams from the Foundation working on the ground to access remote villages and high-altitude mountainous areas. These teams comprise executives, doctors, and social assistants from the Directorate General of Social Services under the Royal Armed Forces.
