Mohammed VI Football Academy at the Heart of Morocco’s U20 World Cup Triumph – Spanish Daily

Rabat: Morocco’s U20 World Cup title in Chile, the bronze medal won at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, and the historic semi-final run at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar are ‘no coincidence,’ but rather the result of a long-term, coherent project.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, since its inauguration in 2010, the Mohammed VI Football Academy has produced a new generation of talent within a world-class training environment, offering state-of-the-art facilities and top-tier athletic and educational development.

The paper also praised the proactive approach of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) in scouting and integrating young players from the Moroccan diaspora, citing stars such as Achraf Hakimi, Yassine Bounou, Sofyan Amrabat, and Hakim Ziyech, who have all helped elevate Morocco to football’s global elite.

‘Morocco has successfully transformed its passion for football into a structured national project built on training, modernity, and inclusion,’ AS wrote, adding that the Kingdom now stands as a model for both Africa and the Arab world.

With its recent achievements and just months ahead of the 2026 World Cup, AS concluded, ‘Morocco has confirmed its place among world football’s elite.’
