Morocco Showcases Expertise at 1st Int’l Transport & Logistics Forum in St. Petersburg


St. petersburg: Kayouh represented the Kingdom at this high-profile event at the head of a senior delegation that he was “very pleased” to lead. The governmental official told MAP that this participation reflects the Kingdom’s will to strengthen its international partnerships in this strategic sector.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Kayouh highlighted Morocco’s experience in maritime transport and port infrastructure, noting that the country operates efficient ports while continuing to develop large-scale, transformative projects, including the Nador West Med and Dakhla Atlantique ports.



In the field of air transport, he pointed to regular flights between Casablanca and Moscow operated by Royal Air Maroc, as well as the recent launch of a new route connecting Casablanca to Saint Petersburg with three weekly flights.



He added that this new route is expected to expand further, including through the use of larger aircraft, in order to boost tourism flows, enhance business exchanges, and strengthen connectivity between Morocco and Russia.



Furthermore, the minister noted that Morocco’s expertise in rail transport was also highlighted at the forum, showcasing the advances the Kingdom has made in this sector.



Organized in Saint Petersburg until April 3, the Forum brings together government officials and international stakeholders from 60 countries, to examine ways to develop various modes of transport by introducing modern technologies aimed at improving the safety and comfort of passenger and freight transport.
