Moroccan and Russian Foreign Ministers Discuss Bilateral Relations


Rabat: Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita recently engaged in a telephone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to pursue and consolidate political dialogue and the traditionally friendly relations between Morocco and Russia.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the two ministers welcomed the significant progress achieved in bilateral relations under the joint leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The conversation highlighted the deepened strategic partnership established during King Mohammed VI’s visit to Moscow in 2016. Bourita and Lavrov emphasized the importance of continuing the collaborative efforts initiated since 2016 and further deepening cooperation on matters of common interest.



The discussion also covered upcoming bilateral milestones, particularly the ongoing preparations for the 8th Joint Commission. In addition to bilateral issues, the ministers addressed regional and international matters, agreeing to maintain a constructive political dialogue characterized by mutual respect.
