Moroccan Head of Government Offers Condolences in Doha on Behalf of King Mohammed VI


Doha: Upon High Royal Instructions, Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch represented His Majesty King Mohammed VI on Monday in Doha in offering condolences following the passing of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani. During an audience at the Lusail Palace, Akhannouch conveyed His Majesty the King’s condolences to the Emir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, to whom he presented a message of condolence and compassion from the Sovereign following the passing of his father, HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the Emir of the State of Qatar expressed his gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI and his pride in the personal ties that bind him to His Brother His Majesty the King, as well as in the strong relations between the two brotherly countries, the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Morocco.



In addition to Akhannouch, the Moroccan delegation participating in offering condolences includes Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita, as well as His Majesty the King’s Ambassador to Qatar Mohamed Setri.



In a message of condolence addressed to HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, His Majesty the King stated that He had learned “with immense sorrow and deep regret the painful news of your illustrious princely family’s loss of your revered father, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, may God surround him with His holy mercy and welcome him into His vast paradise among His blessed servants.”



On this sorrowful ordeal, His Majesty the King expressed to His Highness, and through him, to his illustrious princely family as well as to the brotherly Qatari people, His deepest condolences and sincere compassion following this cruel loss, divine will being unstoppable, imploring the Most High to grant him patience and comfort.
