Supported by Morocco’s Embassy to Norway, this initiative is part of the promotion of drama and intercultural exchanges deemed as vectors of civic education and social change, says the embassy in a statement.
“Rahma” tells the story of three old people who are waiting at the reception of an administration to present some papers and settle administrative matters. In the meantime, each of them tells their story and the obstacles they have faced during their lives. The play is performed by three great Moroccan television and theater artists: Farid Regragui, Benaissa El Jirari and Said Ait Bajja.
The performance was an opportunity to reflect the depth and creativity of the Moroccan theater and highlight the value and pioneering place of the Moroccan artistic scene, the statement added.
The Issil Association was created in 2007 by laureates and professors from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Art and Cultural Activities (ISADAC) in Rabat, Morocco. Issil’s mission is to promote dramatic arts and intercultural exchanges as vectors of civic education and social change.
