N’Djamena:Training has emerged as a crucial element in the cooperative relationship between Morocco and Chad, according to Morocco’s Ambassador to N’Djamena, Abdellatif Erroja.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the ambassador spoke at a reception organized by the Moroccan Embassy in N’Djamena to honor Chadian students who have received scholarships to study in Morocco for the 2026-2027 academic year. The Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI) has increased the scholarship quota for Chadian students to 250, with 200 allocated for university and technical education and 50 for vocational training.
This increase in scholarships underscores Morocco’s commitment to Chad and reflects the determination of King Mohammed VI and President Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno to enhance the partnership between the two nations. An inter-State committee between Chad and Morocco has been established to improve the implementation of these scholarships, holding its first meeting in N’Djamena from July 20 to 22, 2026.
Chadian students in Morocco have access to a variety of training programs in fields such as engineering, computer and digital sciences, health, and social sciences. The ambassador highlighted the success in training Chadian specialist doctors at Moroccan University Hospital Centers, with over 60 trained to date. For the 2025-2026 academic year, more than 25 Chadian doctors have been accepted for specialization in advanced medical fields.
The partnership aligns with the Royal vision of prioritizing investment in human capital as part of South-South cooperation, offering a response to the evolving needs of the African labor market. The event was attended by the Chadian Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Vocational Training.
