Rabat: On this occasion, the two sides underlined the importance of strengthening the role of parliamentary friendship groups, increasing the visits, sharing experiences and good practices in terms of parliamentary action and ensuring coordination within regional and international parliamentary bodies, the Lower House said in a press release.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the meeting also provided an opportunity for the two sides to welcome the exceptional momentum in the bilateral ties between Rabat and Canberra, which reflects the mutual will to strengthen the bridges of multidimensional cooperation and bolster the solid ties of friendship uniting the two countries and their friendly people, the same source added.
They also underlined the key role played by Morocco and Australia in maintaining international peace and security, highlighting the convergence of their positions on the fundamental principles of international relations, based mainly on the respect of international law, the peaceful resolution of conflicts, the respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states, as well as the non-interference in their internal affairs.
Talbi Alami also presented the major projects and deep reforms engaged by the Kingdom under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, touching on different political and socioeconomic fields, which enabled Morocco to become a model of stability and development in the region.
He also reviewed Morocco’s ties with African countries and its development initiatives on the continent, noting the importance of the Kingdom’s regional and international ties, with regard to its strategic position.
