Chefchaouen: Morocco has successfully contained three out of four wildfires currently blazing in the Chefchaouen region, with efforts ongoing to extinguish the final fire.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the ANEF released a statement indicating that small fires have been effectively contained by intervention teams. The fires have affected approximately 500 hectares of forest and some nearby fields. The firefighting operation has mobilized nearly 450 team members and employed advanced resources, including four Canadair and four Turbo Thrush aircraft.
The agency highlighted that these efforts have so far prevented any human casualties. The intervention continues with robust participation from both ground and air teams, showing improvement compared to previous days. The ANEF further emphasized that all human and logistical resources will remain in place until the fire is fully controlled and extinguished.
