Kenitra: During this operation, supported by data provided by the Central Services of the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST), eight people aged between 32 and 60, including two women, were arrested in Kenitra and Casablanca, according to a press release from the BCIJ.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, searches led to seizing 390 bales of “chira” weighing a total of 16 tons, MAD 2.5 million, 6 inflatable boats, 8 outboard motors, 4 barrels of fuel, as well as cell phones, GPS devices, and air pumps, the same source adds.
Suspects were taken into custody pending the investigation, conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, to uncover all the national and international connections of this network and apprehend all individuals involved in the case.
