Morocco Emerges as Key Ally for Global Peace, States Dutch Foreign Minister


Rabat: Morocco, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, is establishing itself as a trustworthy partner and a committed player to global peace and stability, stated Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tom Berendsen, during a press briefing in Rabat on Tuesday.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Berendsen expressed his country’s high regard for the personal engagement of King Mohammed VI, especially in his role as Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, advocating for the Palestinian cause. He emphasized the successful cooperation between the Netherlands and Morocco during the recent session of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, reaffirming both nations’ commitment to this solution.



The Dutch Foreign Minister also praised the significant progress Morocco has made under the leadership of King Mohammed VI. He acknowledged the advanced infrastructure and the economic and investment opportunities available in Morocco. In the current global geopolitical climate, Morocco serves as a strategic and leading partner for the Netherlands, given its close connections with West Africa, the Sahel, and Gulf countries.



Furthermore, Berendsen commended Morocco’s active role in supporting development and stability in the Sahel region, underscoring the importance of Morocco’s contributions to regional and global peace efforts.
