Morocco-EU Partnership Proves Mutually Beneficial, Says EPP Vice President


Rabat: The strategic partnership between Morocco and the European Union (EU) is stable and beneficial for citizens on both sides, stated Mariya Gabriel, Vice President of the European People’s Party (EPP), during a meeting in Rabat. The meeting, held on the occasion of the annual EPP youth meeting on Euro-Mediterranean dialogue, was with Aziz Akhannouch, President of the National Rally of Independents (RNI).

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Gabriel highlighted Morocco’s critical role in the partnership, which she described as providing “real solutions to real challenges.” She noted that this collaboration enables both parties to tackle significant issues in areas such as economic development, energy, and agriculture. Gabriel emphasized the necessity of bolstering this partnership further.

Gabriel expressed gratitude for Morocco’s role in fostering relations with the European Union and applauded the visionary leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. She credited the King for accelerating Morocco’s
development and enhancing its ability to confront challenges effectively.

Furthermore, Gabriel pointed out that other countries could benefit from observing Morocco’s approach to integrating youth into development policies, suggesting it as a model for others to follow.
