Rabat: Scorching heat is expected from Sunday to Tuesday in several provinces of the Kingdom, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) in an orange-level weather alert.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, a heat wave with temperatures ranging between 45 and 47°C is expected in the provinces of Oued Ed-Dahab, Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, Tata, Taroudant, Zagora, Errachidia, Aousserd, and Boujdour.

The same conditions, with temperatures between 42 and 45°C, are forecast for the provinces of Marrakech, Beni Mellal, Fquih Ben Salah, and El Kelaa Sraghna.

In addition, hot weather, with temperatures ranging from 42 to 45°C, will affect the provinces of Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Rehamna, Youssoufia, Khenifra, Taourirt, Khouribga, Settat, Chichaoua, Guercif, Taza, and the inland areas of the provinces of Laayoune, Tarfaya, Guelmim, and Tan-Tan, the same source added.

With temperatures of 39 to 42°C, this hot weather is expected on Sunday and Monday in the provinces of Sidi Bennour, Chtouka-Aït Baha, Ine
zgane-Ait Melloul, Sidi Ifni, Tiznit, Essaouira, Driouch, Nador, Oujda-Angad, and Safi.
