Morocco-France High Level Meeting: Culture Minister Holds Talks with French Peer


Rabat: The Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, held talks on Thursday in Rabat with the French Minister of Culture, Catherine P©gard, as part of the Morocco-France High Level Meeting.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the discussions between the two ministers underscored the advanced level of Moroccan-French ties in the cultural domain. They emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation to align with the ambitions of the two countries and their leaders, His Majesty King Mohammed VI and President Emmanuel Macron.



The meeting explored various mutual interests, focusing on exchanges within the cultural economic ecosystems of both nations. Key topics included the Moroccan presence in the Cit© internationale des arts in Paris, Morocco’s accession to the Fund for Authors and Producers from Africa, and the development of cooperation with the Arab World Institute in Paris. Additionally, collaboration in archaeological research, the gaming industry, and cinema were discussed.



These discussions form the basis of forthcoming cooperation agreements in the cultural sector between Morocco and France, as part of the Morocco-France High Level Meeting. The meeting is also a component of the Reinforced Exceptional Partnership, reflecting the renewed momentum in relations between the two countries.
