Rabat - Strengthening cooperation in the field of employment was the focus of talks on Tuesday in Rabat between the Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, Younes Sekkouri, and the Omani Minister of Labor, Mahad bin Said Baawain.
During the talks, which were attended by a delegation accompanying the Omani minister, the two parties stressed the importance of boosting bilateral collaboration, broadening the scope of cooperation in several areas, and exchanging experiences and best practices.
On this occasion, Sekkouri reviewed all the reforms carried out by the Kingdom in various fields, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, notably the generalization of social protection, the housing assistance program and the direct social assistance program.
In this respect, the Minister pointed out that Morocco attaches paramount importance to the human capital, placed at the heart of any reform strategy, underlining the reforms carried out in key sectors such as education and health.
Referring to the employment and vocational training sector, the Minister said that Morocco has pioneering experience in this field, citing in this respect the establishment of the Cities of Trades and Skills (CMC), as well as new-generation vocational training establishments, which constitute, he said, "genuine strategic levers" for the professional integration of young people.
For his part, the Omani minister said that the meeting had provided an opportunity to identify the key areas and prospects for cooperation with Morocco, and to draw inspiration from Moroccan experience in the field of employment.
He also highlighted the quality of relations between Morocco and Oman, and the need to raise bilateral cooperation to a "more advanced" level in order to benefit from the respective experiences of the two countries.
