Addis Ababa: The 46th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union (AU) commenced in Addis Ababa, with Morocco actively participating in the discussions. The Moroccan delegation is led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita. This session serves as a precursor to the Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State, which is set for February 15-16.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the Executive Council meeting will include the election of five members to the AU Peace and Security Council (PSC). It will also involve the election of six AU Commissioners and the review of the annual report on the activities of the Union and its organs. Additionally, the meeting will examine the draft agenda and resolutions that will be presented at the 38th AU Summit.
