Rabat:A heatwave and thunderstorms are anticipated in several provinces of Morocco from Friday to Sunday, as reported by the national weather authority.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the provinces of Taroudant, Oued Ed-Dahab, Es-Semara, Boujdour, Laayoune, and Aousserd are expected to experience temperatures ranging between 36°C and 40°C during this period. This forecast comes with an orange-level weather alert issued by the DGM.
Additionally, thunderstorms are predicted to bring rainfall of between 20 and 30 mm, with the potential for hail and strong wind gusts, on Friday from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. This weather activity is expected to affect the provinces of Al Haouz, Ifrane, Azilal, Rehamna, Boulemane, Marrakech, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Khenifra, Chichaoua, and Sefrou.
