Rabat: Morocco will return to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) on Sunday, February 15 at 3:00 a.m., for the holy month of Ramadan, the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform announced in a press release.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, this adjustment aligns with the provisions of Decree No. 3.06.26, which was issued by the Head of Government on January 29, 2026, concerning the country’s legal time. The decree outlines the temporary shift to GMT during Ramadan.
The Ministry also indicated that Morocco will switch back to GMT+1 by advancing the clock by 60 minutes after the conclusion of Ramadan. This change is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 2:00 a.m.
