Morocco U-20 Coach Confident of Team’s Potential After Spain Victory


Santiago: “We are happy to take these 3 points against Spain, but we haven’t achieved anything yet. The team wants to go as far as possible in the competition,” Ouahbi said in a statement to the press after the match, played at the National Stadium in Santiago.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the Moroccan team made a strong start to the U-20 World Cup by defeating their Spanish counterparts 2-0. They secured the win with goals from Mohamed Yassir Zabiri in the 54th minute and Yassine Gessime in the 68th minute.



“We are confident in the potential needed to face the rest of the competition, but we must keep our feet on the ground,” Coach Ouahbi added. He emphasized the importance of maintaining focus and not becoming complacent despite the victory.



Ouahbi concluded: “We are not afraid of big opponents like Spain or Brazil, and we want to experience these matches. Our objective is to win every game.” The coach’s remarks highlight the team’s determination and ambition to succeed in the tournament.
